| I think this is quite possibly one of the most frightening short stories I have ever read. The simple impersonal business of it all gave an inhuman turn to an already disturbing event--the total erasure of one's existance. Technically on spot, as much as I can ever remember Miss Dauber writing. The back-and-forth of the dialogue, the descriptive scenes, letting the conversation lay out the backstory...All of this was well-done for the application. Thank you! |
