What a truly wonderful and touching story. A very sweet and lovely tale that makes me want to be Caitlyn. |
Tales of the Season: Caitlyn's Story Details |
This is another story that was difficult, if not impossible to read, because the writer couldn't be bothered to use conventional punctuation to separate out sentences/thoughts, etc. Doesn't anyone learn the mechanics of writing in schools anymore? This sounds more like someone dictated this into a tape recorder, and then transcribed it without bothering with quotation marks, paragraphs, commas, etc. I threw up my hands halfway through the third paragraph because it was *impossible* to figure out who was speaking when.If you can't be bothered to write clearly so we can all understand, why bother? Or at least, if you have an idea, post to the messageboard, and see if there is someone willing to be your editor, and help you clean up the story. As it is, I suppose I'll never know whether this was a good story or not, because I'm not going to bother trying to read a story where the writer had so little regard for readers. In this case, its just too much work. |

Well written, clever story with poignant moments. It has an almost hypnotic mobius strip feel to it. |

After having written my initial review, and now, having had a few hours to mull it over, I do have one or two additional observations:1) If Morpheus does do a sequel, along with telling us what happened to Kelly, the sister, I'd like to see if anything, if any, can be done for the 13 girls/women who were affected by the spell. Something along the lines of how they were somehow able to get something else to make up for, even a little, what they lost. It just doesn't seem right to end it with 13 people being affected like that without somehow making it "right" for them after the fact.2) In re-reading the story, I would have liked Morpheus to be a tad more descriptive of the physical changes to David. You know, tell us outright about the size of his breasts, how his height changed, etc.And a suggestion: If there's someone out there talented with pictures, and has a nice stock of those pictures, I can see this as an ideal story around which to build an SWI story... Finally, for some reason, the adult entertainer Danni Ashe somehow comes to mind as the personification of Vanessa, only much taller...just a thought.- Paula |
