Falling for Angie     Details
Nice interplay between pictures, story and poem. First poem I've enjoyed in ages. Author must have had a riot getting the pictures!
Bille Brown 3: Halloween Party     Details
an enjoyable little story though the ending wasn't a suprise.
A Small Mistake     Details
This was in many ways a pleasant surprise. There are many of the staple Zulu plot elements, but they were re-arragned in an interesting way. Seeing the original caption of he photograph, and the whole spinoff was interesting. Of course, someone desperate enough could have brken into the mailbox where the medallion was sent. Alhough, I do beleive you mentioned a day had passed. Unfortunately, the passage of time isn't very clear in this. It seems like, we're friends, oh look several months had passed. What had Dan been doing this whole time? Stilll a genuine nice guy and a friend (although I'm not sure that Michael is the best person...) makes for a short sweet story.
Altered Fates: Betrayal     Details
I must agree concerning grammatical and spelling problems, punctuation needs significant revision as well. The base concepts are fabulous though. Some of the plot details still need to be worked through, such as the key found in an apartment which fits the trunk(chest, captain's trunk, etc) and wardrobe. Perhaps, an "older deanna" would have arranged to have the key delivered to her contemporary incarnation, with a note concerning the date, time, and location of the estate sale, with an invitation... or possibly have the items willed and delivered. This would remove alot of the akwardness at the beginning of this story with how the items came into the main character's possession. Be careful about being overly redundant, repetition of information is a good thing, unless you repeat it too soon. Covering the same details in sequential paragraphs is a no-no that's easily avoided. Be aware of mixing formal styles of phrasing with colloqialisms within the same sentance, the props might well be "heavy as hell" but to fit with the remainder of that thought, "exceedingly heavy" or "exceptionally massive" may be a better turn of phrase. Be aware of grammatical agreement within sentance and paragraph structure... plural with plural, possessive case with possessive case; and when the members of a collective group including the "speaker" in the story have been identified, instead of re-identifying them, a collective pronoun is more than acceptable, ie, instead of relisting "John, Mary, and I spoke for awhile...", "we spoke for awhile" is much smoother. It isn't as if the reader will forget who was there. All in all, nice idea. Temporal loops with happy "endings" are fairly commonplace but still make for good stories.
