| This story is a study of the definition of love. Two people creating an intense relationship based on similar interests and/or sexual desires. It also discusses the fine line between motivation and manipulation. Do we facilitate each others fantasies? Or, do we use the other person's fantasies as a means to our personal end. Throughout the story it is extremely hard to understand if the intent of the wife is love or base cruelty. Both parties lie repeatedly to each other. Both parties willingly use each other's sexual desires to satisfy themselves. In the end... both have traded sexual intimacy for sexual intensity. The author took great care to illustrate the complete knowledge of the wife of her partner's sexual wants and needs. She is a true professional in the art of understanding sexual desire. She also understood exactly what choices her husband had to make. However, it appears she consistently manipulated her husband when a word here or there would have set them on a much different path. A 'safe' word as described in the story. A word the husband didn't think to 'use'. Had she allowed the husband to reduce his sexual tension, would have he made a clear decision to take a different course? Was she helping him toward a goal... or setting that goal? Will the husband be content as a sissy? His sexual release seems totally based on humiliation at the end of the story. As the story unfolds we see that humiliation is becoming harder and harder to achieve. The rhetoric becomes more intense. The 'outfits' go beyond feminine to 'silly feminine'. The proximity of the infidelity starts as long distance... perhaps non-existent... to up close and personal. As the wife is a true professional... she must know the husband will soon be frustrated as intense humiliation will be beyond his grasp. The story had to end where it did as the only path for these two people is separation. (Perhaps the ultimate separation of suicide or murder/suicide.) The wife is a predator. She measures love by her ability to dominate her partner. She has achieved total domination and no longer will find satisfaction in the relationship. She wants someone to dominate who represents a challenge. The husband wants to be humiliated. As he has given up everything that was admirable about himself. Humiliation is the lowering of one's pride. As he has no pride left, by definition he can no longer achieve what he so intensely wants. A weakness in this story was the unexplained five year time lapse between their marriage and her use of the lingerie and videos to carry out her plan. Perhaps I just missed this. Overall, if this story had a more mainstream content, it would be material for a best-seller and ultimately a movie. Perhaps a time will come when such a story will be accepted by the general public. After all, how different is this story from The Glass Menagerie? A general comment to all writers of cross-dressing stories. Try to appeal to all the senses. Many stories ignore entirely the sense of smell. Define the scent... a whirl of WHAT perfume. In this particular story an ironic scent could be 'Obsession'. Or maybe, 'Curve', as that is what she threw him. When you describe the make up process, you might talk of the texture and taste. Can he hear his heart pounding? Did she use a particular music or musician in the background to help create a mode? What was the lighting like in the room? The author did a great job delving into some of the above in the discussion of why each article of clothing was selected... and why the wife predicted each article would be selected. Best of class for this fine work. |

| Great stuff! The story is droning, but this would be a great demonstration of a literary device that Kurt Vonnegut employs as one of his 8 golden rules of writing - let the reader know what is going to happen and then put it off the longest. This works in erotic fiction the best. To me it was a great demonstration of that rule. And just as you dwelled so long on the events preceding the changes themselves, you could have dwelled a little longer on the changes. But go with your gut. You seem to have one for it. |
