| Something similar to the scene with Tuck happened to me just as I was starting my transition. I was out with my girlfriend of the time, a wonderful woman who had agreed to help me in my transition. We were both dressed in jeans and sweatshirts, with shoulder length brown hair. My clothes were actually men's clothes and hers women's but twice in the day after she agreed to help me people called me "Miss" while I was in her company. :) This had not happened often before that and I attribute it to my relaxation of my guard against acting feminine in her company. This is the wonderful strength of the Tuck saga, it all rings so true and so weirdly congruent with out experiences as TG while combining it with the literary fiction of Tuck's reluctance. |
