| Bill Hart...where have I heard that name before? It sounds so familiar...I think it had something to do with Spells R Us. Well, anyway, on to the story. This is a very enjoyable story for a number of reasons. The first reason is that it uses the old frog turning into a prince curse. I alway's liked those old fairy tale stories when I was a kid, and, you know what, they still do it for me. This kind of story is just plain ol' fun to read because it is so familiar and brings up fond memories. Is it any wonder that whatever you do with it, it's still going to be a pretty darn good story? The second thing I liked about this story (and this has just recently been brought to my attention as good writing technique) is that the story is told through the dialogue of the characters. The characters act pretty believeable, and that's a plus in my book anyday. I think peolple will enjoy listenting to the characters talk for a change instead of reading paragraph after paragraph of boring descriptive text. Cut right to the chase and get down to the story. The characters are pretty funny too, but there are some scenes (like the anagrams - CRAP, MIT, etc..) that make you roll your eyes in your head. There was only one thing I didn't like abou this story. I guess other people won't mind, but it's a question of taste really. The end of the story breaks down into the typical girl-becomes-nypho-maniac-story, which to me was just down right dissapointing. Here I was thinking I had found a nice, pleasant, and DIFFERENT fictionmania story, and then the author sticks the obligatory girl-has-to-have-sex scene in it. Don't get me wrong, I like a good sex scene as much as the next person, but I felt it didn't belong anywhere in this story. It seems like it was put in just because every body expects it. It ruined the light-hearted fairy-tale mood of the story. Ah well, I guess you can't have your cake and eat it too. A good story, and I recommend everybody read it. It's not a very long story, and it presents some very good ideas and writing techniques. Leviathan |

| I'll just add to what the others have said. Nicely written, and tightly focused. A well done storyline and nice character development. Perhaps we might see more from this potential universe of employees who live on "The Hill"? It would be interesting to see if Mr. Waterman can make good on another bet. |
