James To Jane, The Hard Way     Details
A very different type of story for the list, and the sort that I like very much. The TG aspects provided the backbone to the plot but never dominated the tale, and the story stood in its own right - always the mark of a good stry IMO. I found it very atmospheric and an excellent read. Parts of the story, towards the end, felt almost claustrophobic at times, reminding me almost of the first time that I saw Alien, as the couple get snowed in and the power failed. I especially liked the way that Fierce discovered his 'condition' in the flickering light of his lighter. Very original and a nicely written scenes. Looking forward to the next one.
