| I enjoyed the story very much however as a bowler I have to point out a glaring little misstatement. Eddy brags about a 270 average. Anybody with that kind of average would be in the Pro Bowler's Hall of Fame since 300 is a perfect game. Nor would a bowler with a really high average go unnoticed among his peers (anything over 200) and would certainly not be hideable beneath a simple wig. A more realistic but decent average would be 170 - not high by men's standards but a high average in most women's leagues. I realize that the bowling team was merely a vehicle but if you're going to take us for a ride it needs to run properly so we can enjoy the trip to its fullest. |
