Interesting story with a good feel for time and place. I wish we had more Tg stories set in the past where gender roles were more dramtically different. The settings are well realized as are the motivations. I like the fact that the brother is not a villian nor are all men. Now here is some constructive( I Hope ) critisim for the writers. And again don't forget it just my opinion. For me the opening is too long and we told too much - it would have been better with dramatic dialogue. Men were allowed on life boat on oen side of the Titantic - so for me I think it might have been better had brother and sister survived with each other(but the medlalion could still have been lost) Women had far more property rights( as well as public opnion rights) than you think - they could and did own propery and run business - though not very many. For me the villian is a cardboard character. But please keep writing - its an intertaining tale.
