What a story! The Donna Reed Show was the icon of early sixties television. It portrayed the "ideal" American family. I have seen many of the reruns on cable. This story would have been a sacrilege if it were not so well written. And, well written, it is. Very enjoyable. And, one does not need to be familiar with the series to appreciate the story.
