| DEFINATELY the next SRU. We need some ground rules here Bill. Only thing I thought that could have been better was Brigit's transformation. I had no idea what she looked like or was wearing. FOr I all knew she was running around naked. The genius of the story however overshadowed that. Can't wait to see more. |

| As Sleater Kinney once said: You can't get to heaven in your Sunday best, When the night before they were calling it your cocktail dress. Ok, that's apropos of nothing, but it's a great quote that sounds sort of vaguely transgendered as does anything that has the words "cock" "tail" and "dress" in it. And in that sense it's a little bit like our little Melissa, brilliant and moving in constantly surprising new directions that are at the same time both fresh and novel. Don't get me wrong, I don't praise this story because it's funny and touching with a soundtrack that features Jello Biafra and Jen Trynin doing duets of Frank Sinatra covers. No, I praise this because it represents real artistic growth. Take for example my favorite -- the Professor -- brilliant guy, great writer, but at the end of the day, he really is the Phil Collins of transgender fiction: IT'S THE SAME STORY AGAIN AND AGAIN. It's a great story, but it's still all just the same. So hats off Missy, keep up the work, and we'll keep up with praise. |

| There’s still plenty of staff at the office, plus higher-ups on the board who can further humiliate Barbie, who still seems surprised at every new demand. I suppose that’s to be expected from a bimbo secretary. Still would kind of like to see Mark join her at some point. The gossip sessions at girls’ nights out seem to loosen lips, maybe Florence will join them, get tipsy, and reveal more than she should on the plot against Barbie. Not that Barbie would be able to do anything about it, but her successor, Jerry, would be more than interested? |
