| I had a lot of respect for the author. I tried hard to just observe my feelings in light of Elaine's caution to "not feel pity". I have read autobiographically oriented stories here where I felt a lot of pity, even though it wasn't called for, and I always have to ask myself if that's right or not. In any case, I think that the feelings generated by something read or experienced should always be considered "real", though may at times indicate something in the feeler's world which could and should be changed. All that aside, I did not find myself feeling pity. I felt, on the contrary, that this person had no reason to make such things up, though I know relatively little about the TS or even TG world compared to many of you here, or many TS people. I only felt sad that she has lived so long being so terribly alone, that it makes my complaints about feeling alone look like complaining about being rich and totally healthy. Her restatements of events and feelings only helped to certify for me that things were real, and intense for her. I saw nothing, aside from her short description oh how she was dressed originally while typing this, that indicated an attempt to arouse the reader. I think that it is simply shameful that a group of people who are themselves so often terribly misunderstood and isolated can even begin to judge somebody in such a situation as "making it up" without even trying to understand such intense levels of pain. To be totally fair, I should mention that I did identify strongly with her feminine desires and felt those small parts of her story arousing. However, I noteced that almost every time she described any "positive" femainine desires she had quickly followed it with the far deeper negaitve realities of her situation. Having experienced both "sexually oriented crossdressing" and slight drug addictions, I see a heavy congruence (look it up in the psychological literature) with her patterns, her identifying, her confusion and her pain. I am very glad that she had Elaine to talk with and that Elaine was as open and understanding as she seems to be. Good job girl, what other feminine quality is really more respectable? com pass ion com pass ion, ra ra sis com ba... com pass ion! To the woman in this story.. please try more than anything to know that somewhere in this world, though sometimes seemingly impossible to find, are people who want to accept you for whoever you are, as deeply as they can. All ya need to do is try and find them. The fact that your story made it this far into the collective conscience of the world, is a good thing I think. I will try your email, but I fear that, like so many others, it is a short lived address. Please continue to have faith in yourself and others. You are a cool person, if for no other reason, than because you try and live your life, without hurting others (a huge tug on my heart in the story, when she did all this to not hurt anybody) and that you live your life to be enjoyed, for you. You deserve that orgasm and that feeling that you are an ok being. Wish I could zap it to you via satellite, but I guess this will have to do. Warmest hugs. Peggy Sue. |
