| Scott -- Add my voice to the chorus singing praises for this story. There are officers like Megan in uniform today, going through the same things she did: harassed, ignored, etcetera. We need to support them as well as their colleagues. We need to be letting them know we expect to be treated not only with simple respect, but to have our situation treated as equally as any other crime victim. Every November 20th, the Transgender Day of Remembrance is held to memorialize those transfolk whose lives were cut short because we don't fit into that binary male/female gender division. What needs to be done is for all of us to write letters to police departments, demanding that a transperson's murder should be as equally investigated as if it were their President's.
