| I like your story line! Your writing is better than most on the net. Suggestions:Your character dialogue rambles a bit - doesn't everyones? You will get more impact if you substitute action then use just one or two impact words at critical high energy situations. Your writing is young - meaning you don't spend enough time on the senses, describing the scene thoroughly and then giving your reader a sense of what might be happening behind the scenes, i.e., when the changed officer now female see's or remembers the superior officer coming aboard, what does he/she feel. Is the commander a parsimonious prick that he has to watch his step with, or why is our protagonist sweating getting found out. Another note is that I think the initial reactions to the changes are a little mild. Might be more interesting , so to say, if when the change happened the female now male starts screaming in female fashion with a male voice and the female/now male is in the reverse situation of trying to calm the larger male and finally slaps him to shut him up. Play up the reversal and the sensual disparity that it creates. Sure hope you finish. My best complement-it's a good read. |

There are a number of small errors which are not easy for the author to spot, but a good editor / proof reader would pick up. | I just don't understand why you bothered. You acknowledged that the premise was entirely derivative from the outset, and then you regurgitated as predictable and formulaic a plot as can be imagined. There isn't a single surprise, moment of interest, or believable human interaction. You didn't even have enough confidence in your own world to keep from anchoring your story to the movie adaptations of a couple of children's novels that, once again, directly influenced this hackneyed little project to begin with. If you're going to write, have something to say. |
