| Barbara's Makeover Details |
| This story was great. Not usually my thing, but graphic sex was kept to a minimum. I can handle that. But this story is also true to life, and many gays to commit suicide. It is a shame though, when they could transition themselves, and live normal lives. When I completed transition in 1969, I recovered at my parents home, with my best friend who I considered a sister there also. Afetr I was completely healed, I went out into the world I had lived in so many years as a girl, this time as a female. Chrissie (not her real anme) is still my friend and we are collaborating on my series called Chrissie in Big Closet. But after my transition, I never had a problem with my gender. When I had gone for a while and was away from my home town, which I came back to, I never told anyone I was a transsexual and nobody asked either. Now I am in my fifties and wouldn't have changed a thing. I am very happy with my life and I am proud to a female. Barbara Lynn Terry |

| I enjoyed the original 'Barbara' story and this one follows a similar plot but takes it further. The ending has hope but the confusion that precedes it makes for an entertaining read. It's a pleasure to find a new Callie Messenger story and it's like an oasis in a desert as a previous reviewer implies. Perhaps I'm getting jaded in my dotage but few stories appeal to me these days but this one restores my faith just a little, even though it's a rehash of an oldie :) thanks Callie Robi |
