As Juliette made her way over the Seine to her appointment, she wondered what the future held for her. She had been a stockbroker in London but now couldn't speak English, only French.

L - I've followed this hesitatingly since you posted chhapter 6. As you promised, some of it was very dark, and at times I wasn't sure I wanted to continue on. But now that we're to this point, please take it on from here. If you revise this, the biggest problem I had was with time. Things seemed to happen very fast for the time stated, although I understand the time was part of the story too.

As historical notes- (Truly odd for fictionmania!) Crockett's capture at the Alamo. Mexican records do in fact record a Crockett being captured or if you will surrendered at the Alamo. Also in Crockett's auto-biography it states he surrendered. (Mind you it was an "auto-biography" written by somebody else) Now, here's the odd things about these observations. Mrs. Dickinson who was in the Alamo Chapel through out the fight states catagorically that she saw Crockett's body out side the chaple when she left. There was no eye witness confirmation, of somebody that knew Crockett, that Crockett was taken alive. This would seem in conflict with the Mexican documents of his surrender. This is not so odd when the following is added to the equation. The Mexican officer that recorded the names of the prisioners prior to their exectuion was fluent in English. He recorded five out of six names spelled correctly. The only name he misspelled was Crockett's. Other then a written entry there were no persons that verified that the person claiming to be Crockett was Crockett. I submit the obvious: an "unkown" survivor of the battle claimed to be the most famous person in the mission in hopes of saving their own life. Quite simply, the person that said he was Crockett was lying. This explains why the name Crockett is misspelled and how Mrs. Dickinson saw Crockett dead when he was "alive". However, its all conjecture on my part. In deed the "offical record" (i.e. Mexican files) show a person named Crockett (misspelled) was captured and executed. As to the coonskin cap. My sources disagree, while at the same time agreeing. It seems Crockett did not wear a coonskin cap (aka just like Daniel Boone who NEVER wore one). That is until they started doing plays about Corckett's exploits. In the PLAY the Crockett character wore a coonskin cap. Davy Crockett, ever the showman, adopted wearing a coonskin cap after the plays proved successful. A case of life imitating art. Other than my snivels above, I found the story well written and very enjoyable. :-P -- Bad Irving

This is a very well-written story with a plot that fits in perfectly with the style of the sex. I am anxious to read any sequels that are written to this story because I not only was aroused while reading it but rather enjoyed the plot.
