Ok, but a little too implausable for my taste.I don't understand the reason why so many writers seem to enjoy, or demand, that their characters change into paranoid sex offenders as soon as they are able. I don't think most men and almost any women would actually do that and, even if some did, I don't have any interest, purient or otherwise, in reading about it. |

"Bad" news first. I agree with Eric that some written dialogue would be a nice contrast to all the exposition. That minor point out of the way, on to the "good" news. This is a piece of literature. You are constantly examining the thoughts, feelings, and emotions of the characters; you are maintaining inner dialogue(s) as constant contrast, counterpoint and ultimately companion to the outer dialogue(s). This is most notable of course during and after the transformation, when it is most satisfying and enriching. For one who lives the conundrum of "being attracted to women yet wanting to be one" every day, internal writing is so effective when it is carried out in the constant way in which you do it. It helps the reader--me in this case--to further define my own feelings (which is why I myself write in the first place). TG stories--especially (for me) stories involving genetic changes--are some of the most fertile ground for examining changes in an individual's most deeply held external--and even more importantly internal-- beliefs about themselves. I would love to see you examine this area more, much more, and bring your considerable skill and talent to bear on the momentous task of making gender transformations more thoroughly real, inside and out.In this story, you have brought a transformation from the actual change through to initial acceptance. Either in the context of this plot, or perhaps in a new one, I would love to see a similar internal/external dialogue examining a heterosexual male's eventual transformation into a heterosexual (genetic) female. For me, that subject may be the biggest challenge in all TG writing: but I can tell you, from personal emotional experience (not real, unfortunately) that there is logic in this seeming conundrum. The feelings exist. thanks so for writing. |

Keep the installments coming. I think you story has been fun to read so far. With the transformation going in stages, it'd also be cool if you embedded pictures that chronicled John's increasingly strange appearance. Maybe someone else might be able to lean a hand here if you're not into graphics manipulation. ?? any volunteers ?? |
