| What a terrific story idea to have someone changed then also start over in a different time. Have had a lot of yearbook fantasies. Then it went down the bimbo, suck this, suck that, blah, blah, blah. A kind of cheap cop out which I compare to people who swear a bunch. Not taking the time to use anything better. This story could have been taken in a direction of having more than a couple of changes, with the new girls helping each other, etc. Would have been a 9. Thank the author for writing, keep it up and maybe next time I can give the next one a better rating. |

| As a feminist, I really didn't like this story too much. A woman can hold power and not look like she's in male drag. Power suit and pants, yes -- but the ties can go! When an idiot male supervisor running a California coroner's office decreed ties for ALL employees (including women) they looked ludicrous! Why don't women wear ties? Because they're phallic objects, that's why! Try a world where women hold power, but refuse to copy men's mistakes by dressing like them! Logically, a woman who tries to dress like a man will soon ACT like one -- including war... |

| I ought to write a comment; I have been musing over the subject, too. I was very happy to read the piece, Musings. Thanks a lot! Quote: "So, here I am, a mature, married male, who not only enjoys wearing women's clothes, but tries to play the part of a woman. But cannot ever go out in public, because my mind and my body are in two separate places." Spot on! I hope it is OK to comment on those lines in a personal way. Here it goes: As far as I can see it is the visual impact of some feminine attires and the body characteristics of a woman which are turning me on, still very powerful though I am getting old and the driving force is not at all so strong as it has been. I have also noted that when for one reason or another I am at a loss, be it a partner who belittles me or a slip in career or any other matter which makes me feel less worth, I get a strong urge to change myself and I am turned on at the thought of becoming a woman. When I feel worthless I can easily comfort myself by thinking of the wins i have had, but the thought of transitioning, becoming an attractive woman, turns me on in a forceful way, even though it is completely unrealistic - as explained in "musings" of which we are talking here. When I feel good, there is no urge to dress feminine, but a piece of lingerie, an elegant skirt, a blouse, a bra, a beautiful dress or skin tight jeans will turn me on. I can translate that into desire for a beautiful partner, or into a more challenging male wardrobe; there are, after all, quite a few things one can do in order to look attractive and maybe even become a more feminine radiance. But I was easily turned on by garment with or without girls in them. Not so bad now, at 66 years, but still. If I feel down and worthless I feel that the woman wearing the clothes is a goddess and I want to feel like her, I want to be a goddess, too. There is one more subject seldomly touched upon here: When a girl begins FtM transition and starts HRT she will experience a marked change in libido. Maybe male libido is too strong for some persons and maybe we never learned how to deal with it. I remember times when i couldn't get my pants on and people thought I was masturbating. I wasn't. Embarrasing experiences, to say the least. But let me end this comment by emphasizing: since my youth things have changed drastically, environments are different, some guy will borrow a sweater from his fiancee and nobody will question it, maybe just comment or like it. They can share shorts or even jeans and shirts, shoes etc. everything can be androgynous, and guys can be feminine. Not everywhere, though, there will still be some places where you could get assaulted. However, the most obvious change is that transgenderness is accepted in some societies. The cost of transgenderness can be huge, loss of procreation, money, isolation etc. but I think I would dress more androgynous if I was born today, maybe even consider a transition from male to female if I was so lucky as to be a little feminine in appearance. |
