| Hhhhmmmmmm... The story was done very well... It was a lot like days I've had... months I've had... maybe even a decade I spent once, give or take several years... it was a little too close to the bone to enjoy, and a little too close to the heart to ignore. I wouldn't call it entertainment. It's a little more like remembrance, and forgiveness, and deciding that maybe one measure for a better world is teaching people to accept one another. I'm a little angry, because the stripes on the heroines flesh remind me of some stripes of my own, and that the stripes on a soul are even deeper than the ones on the skin. Ever been hogtied, strung up on garage rafters, and have somebody sear your bare chest with a hot steam iron? It's truly a remarkable experience. It reminds me of finding a beautiful little poppy. I was walking away from this black, blighted pit of a factory... and there in a crack in the gravel next to the pavement beside a puddle, sprang this poppy. It was exquisite, more so for finding a way to live where nothing else even dared. Those of us who survived trial by fire... are such poppies. Those of us who kept our souls, and our hearts, our minds, and our precious joy of being alive... are such poppies. Thank you for reminding me of 4he road traveled. I might request that when you've worked this particular daemon out of your system, you share that too... We'd like to hear your transcendence as well. Good work... keep on going. |

| Its a hoot! I like many things about the story, especially the clear thinking of the hero. People really do lose the cool if someone does things they don't expect todefend themselves - like reason. I especially like the MTV witch. Only suggestion - we don't anything about the hero - how old is he, what does he do, how does he look. I think that might have added more deoth to the tale. But then what do I know. By the way GREAT ENDING! |

| I really like the concept and hope to see it finished. I'm a tad disappointed that you didn't spend more time with your character's emotions. (But then that's always a conflict. Action versus building the story, right? And I recognize my tastes aren't everyone's.) |
