To my readers: I know that there is some confusion about how I ended the story, but I really did not want to spell out the conclusion completely. My intention was to show that Michelle just could not deal with the stress of being made into a girl, her mother threatening to get help from the aunt to force her to adapt, and her mother demanding that she be a girl. Michelle drugged everyone and then took her aunt and the lover into the garage where she used the car to asphyxiate herself and the two women. I think that Ruth will end up suffering more than Michelle felt that she herself was. Thank you for reading.
