| Many many thanks for the comments! They are very helpful and much appreciated. On the issue of closure for Rhea and Iambe, this was something I struggled with when I was writing the story. I had even written an epilogue where a royal gardener from the queen's palace notices that every day he clears mysterious white flowers from Siproites' memorial and every morning they come back in greater numbers. Rhea would divine this as a sign from the goddess that Siproites was well and happy. But adding anything to the final words of the goddess seemed wrong and a weaker ending, somehow. Mea culpa on the typos. I am the world's worst proofreader. I proofed the story twice, submitted it, and in between the time I submitted and the time it posted I proofed again. Found more errors, submitted a second version, and since then have found more errors. (sigh) I think I really need someone else to proof my work. Thanks again to everyone, Armond |

| I enjoyed your story, but found it predictable. I hate saying this because I can't say how I'd fix it. Perhaps I'm too jaded after reading sooo many TG stories. Perhaps if the old man wrote the instructions down instead of telling (foreshadowing) them. Then as the story unfolds... we could see the instructions as they are carried out. Perhaps the new dad (drunk at home) could find the instructions taped to the mirror. hugs, Dana. |

| To re-rebut (rebutt?) Jess Arita: I am not suggesting that the author downplay any of what you suggest. All I am saying is that the story could be "fleshed-out" a little more (and thereby improving it a bit) by paying a little more attention to details. As I said, far too many stories gloss over the details in clothing (and note I am not saying "long drawn out shopping..."), such as what kind of clothes, what kind of shoes, etc. Anyone who knows a number of women know that clothing and shoes are very important to women, and as a woman, its one of the things I notice right off the bat. *And*, its one of the things I notice in a story when the author glosses over this kind of detail. My two cents, your mileage may vary. In other words, I'm just expressing my opinion. You've had yours. Let's move on, shall we? - Paula |
