| 60 Days as a Woman: Part 1 Details |
| This is an excellent story that is well worth reading. To me the ending was still unexpected. There were one part that I felt unbelievable. This orpahand young woman gives up her freedom and the man she definatly loves for the "father" who is a known ganster and never knew she existed even with the security was hard to believe. Also there are two definate and one probable flaws that any native "New Yawker" would know: 1. All the restaurants in NYC as well as Nassau and Suffolk counties are smoke free now. 2. It was implied the home was on the North Shore of Long Island. That is an "old" money area. The mafioso are overwelmingly on the South Shore of the island including the heads of the families. The reason is simple. Most of those of Italian decent working in the mob either lived or have roots in Brooklyn or Little Italy which is south of Greenwich Village. Both public transportation and roads from these areas to Long Island in general lead south. Traveling to the North Shore would add at least a half hour to the trip during the non rush hours. 3. (?) The restaurant appears to be too far north. It sould be in Little Italy. Or else the nemisis would be less likely to frequent it when in the city. shalimar |
