| Interesting story. It's unusual to see the Wizard outside the store and even more so to meet any of his friends. I thought you managed both fairly well. Rick's honesty and introspection as well as his willingness were make amends were also well done. The only possible sour note was that the elk-king, who only mates once, so quickly accepted the transformed Rikki. I think you should have explained that, maybe by saying how the wizard didn't transform Rick, but used his soul to re-animate the body of the elk-king's mate. Also, you left one heck of a big plot thread dangling. You really are going to have to tell the story of the theft and what happens when the Wizard catches the ones who did it. Were the thieves humans who thought it was just another store; humans who knew what it was (maybe transformees trying to get their old lives back); or supernatural enemies of the Wizard? What you did tell us was very little. We don't even know the nature of the wolf's injuries. The Wizard shouldn't have too much trouble finding the missing items. It's easy to assume that he has some sort of tracking spell on them, the same sort of thing that he uses to track his customers. Tell us. Please. Ellie |
