I truly adore your story, Alesiha! But I don't understand why you insist upon referring to these as "dark" tales. To me, they follow in the GRAND TRADITION of transsexual literature, born in a time unlike today's era of openness and acceptance. They hold an important place in our (our tg community) history, one that I wish more authors would embrace. They represent a tradition that was marked formost by fear and repression, when each day was not only a struggle for acceptance, but for our very survival. These stories aren't "dark". To me, the so called "dark" struggle of your characters reflections upon a time when being being discovered might well be a life threatening event. These stories tell of the fears, or the anxieties and the uncertainities of generations past, and serve as reminders of how things might well be again someday if we don't remember and embrace the past. We, older transexuals, who've had to endure the painfully agonizing struggles of (no so) long ago can find comfort and resolve in the conflict and struggle of your protagonist, providing us with a means to come to terms with the fears, anxieites and uncertainities that that will FOREVER remain in our psychic. So for me, thank you Aleisha... Thank you for writing about the "darker" side... I'm glad someone is there to remind us that life is not always so forgiving... Love, josie

Thanks a bunch for working so hard , if everyone knew what pains you went through to make your stories just right they would all be as thankfull as me. Nancy you are a class act as a writer and a Friend and I hope to get to read more of your stories for years to come as I also hope to be a trusted friend of yours forever. Keep up the awesome work and please get that next story going as soon as possible. You know Im looking forward to that one. Have a great day see ya soon

The flashback method is okay in principle, but the beginning is handled too clumsily here. We're in a flashback ("only yesterday I was..."), and then we jump forward to the girl-fleshed hero(ine) who's been remembering that first day from about two years later. I'd start with at least a couple paragraphs with the older version looking in the mirror or whatever, then jump back to the first day. Also watch the tenses. Otherwise a good job. I like how small the girl is, like in the recent story "The Little Woman," and I hope the trend towards small or average-sized women (and that includes average figures) goes on.

Overall, not a bad story, but you need to work on your formatting. It was very difficult to slog through the long "paragraphs". This made it difficult to enjoy the story. The ideas are good, and show care and thought, but the mechanics need a lot of work. None of the dialog was broken up properly. You need to start a new paragraph every time you change speakers. While formatting can change as a result of "artistic liscense" it should not detract from teh story.

So far it's a wonderful story. Maybe a little too fast on "transitioning." I wish there's be an an exciting, sexy, part 2 with fun and spicy details about the rest of their holiday (American translation--vacation) :) Seriously, I do hope you will add a second part to this.
