This was a very good story. Although it could have been longer. The ending caught me by suprise. To think that someone would go through that only to find out that their partner was gay. Keep up the good work.

I must say I approached this story somewhat apprehensively, as I do not enjoy "forced feminization" stories. Femininity should be a joy, not a punishment. Forgive my naivete, but why do people enjoy this sort of story? Do they subsconsciously feel that their desires are worthy of punishment and humiliation? Also, as I read the story, I could not help but think if that were to occur in real life, Danny/Holly could sue everyone involved for millions, and probably would. I also had a bit of a problem with the fact that the people of the little Wisconsin town accepted Danny's transition so readily (behavior very atypical of a small Midwestern town in the '60s, a time when few people knew what a transsexual WAS). But hey, this is a fantasy, so that detail was only a minor annoyance for me. Yet there were aspects of this story that drew me in despite my objections. Such as the way Danny/Danielle/Holly grew to enjoy his/her status gradually, and learned talents as a female that might have been left fallow otherwise. I like to believe that the lie his mother told the police may have had a grain of truth to it. He truly wanted to be a girl all along and suppressed that desire by acting in an overly aggressive, stereotypically masculine fashion. That's the only way his gradual acceptance of his new role makes any sense. (Why, I am left to wonder, did Holly not pursue music as a career? We're told of a budding talent, and she becomes a Washington secretary? What a waste!) I have to agree with the others that the ending seems a bit rushed and contrived. I did like one thing about it, however. Holly retained her interest in women. People have to realize that gender identity and sexual preference are two different things, and there ARE such things as transsexual lesbians, so I disagree with those who think she should have settled down with some handsome dream man. That, I believe, would have stretched credulity until it snapped. I think a sequel is in order, one in which Holly's past is exposed by the tabloid press, robbing her of her prestigious Capitol Hill job. She nonetheless triumphs by pursuing her long-forgotten dream of a concert career, with her lover in the wings to cheer her on. (Tula survived such scandal, why can't Holly)? Oh--that reminds me. The name. "Holly Holliday?" You can't be serious! But as I keep reminding myself, "it's just a story, it's just a story..."

So one person was on both sides of the seduction? Time travel? Why?Aside from not knowing if this was a looped back seduction or a serial seduction, the story was very erotic. Blessings, Brett

Janet--It's just such fun to have these comments by others and to feel like we're at a writing seminar, all helping each other. I've been writing for years, but am better at smallish vignettes and memoirs of true scenes from my cherished, real-life, longhaired boygirl childhood; thus I finish very few complete tales. This work here and that of so many others on FicMania, which I only found two weeks ago,is giving me great encouragement to improve plotting and'character- driven' approaches. Finding time and postponing new addictions to vast Internet TG materials is a challenge to my hectic life! The other reviewers are on point: Please do continue developing Tim/Gail's story. With not too much re-working, , your PromQueen tale could evolve out of this earlier chapter with most of same characters. Try It! Tina Browning (also Timbo in early postings).
