| Sometimes I get into a story that I can't get away from, you know like into the wee hours of the morning. This how 'Change of Direction' affected me. CoD is well written with the tension and humor that sex alone can not achieve. I kept placing myself into the lead role, Jacqie, and wished if it could only be true. Tigger, thank you for evening. | What a great story!!! I just enjoyed it as I was reading, and didn't see any glaring flaws. I do agree with other reviewers, that the story universe and characters would lend themselves to additional stories. You really created some wonderful possibilities. Thanks for writing and sharing this. |

| No one is being unduly critical. I think it would be more accurate (and more on point), to say that a bunch of us are just plain old exasperated and frustrated with Paul's writing. Even assuming the lag between when a story is sent, and the time its posted, it becomes very clear that he writes only for himself, and not for the enjoyment of other readers. His work doesn't seem to be getting better, and he doesn't seem to either listen or care when those of us who have offered constructive guidance write. The result is that we wonder why we are commenting, and even more importantly, why he writes. Speaking only for myself, I can only surmise he writes to satisfy his own masturbatory fantasies, and if that's the case, why does he post stories to this board? He has enough stories posted on FM now, that you can look at his "body of work". It's all the same, quickly written, with little regard for even the minimal things that make a good story. Most people in this situation would read the feedback that has been given, and (if they are worth anything), would step back, do a little more work IN PRIVATE on their writing, perhaps consult via e-mail with some of the better writers here, and then come back in a few months when he has improved a little. But I guess that's simply too much to ask. Perhaps the best thing to do would be for us to not post ANY comments the next time one of his stories gets posted. Perhaps a 'comments boycott' would get the message across more effectively than constructive comments, since Paul's work seems to suggest he doesn't read or understand anything we are saying here. Meanwhile, reading this story is three minutes of my life I will never get back again.... |
