| Did I miss something? When did Maria become Elena? So. Anton finishes the story as the pampered mistress of a wealthy Mexican philanderer. Beats being skined alive and having your body parts scattered all over the desert. Just bearly. Of course I knew he was going to remain a woman, that's the way 99% of these stories go. Still, I had hoped for more. Up through part eight I thought this might be the best tg story I'd ever read. Then part nine had the auction which was a little hokey. Half of part 10 was taken up with the needless interlude between Tomas and his wife. And now for the finale Maria takes one look at her new part- owner, falls in love, decides to have a sex change(!), and joins the ladies that lunch. Apparently the writer wanted to end the story in a hurry because it was definately rushed. Which is a shame after establishing it over so many chapters. Weither she's happy with Mexico or not Maria MUST return to Nevada after the five years and tell off that bunch and maybe spit in Marylin's eye. And I don't care how good her new "master" is to her he is a pig. Male or female Anton is an American, living in the 21st century. He/she cannot be satisfied with an archaic institution such as concubinage. That's so 19th century! I hope an additional chapter will be written some time in the future to address these issues. This story is far from over. |
