| GREAT story! One of the best I've read, but also incredibly sad. As I see it, the only one who gets what she wants is amoral/evil witch bitch Bethany. Ant/Kim loves Cinders who can't bring herself to return his love; Cinders loves Ant but can't get past his being a kim clone; It's pretty obvious Cait loves Ant no matter what shell he's in and it must be hell for her every time he talks about loving Cinders. It's like a twisted Archie/Betty/Veronica relationship. Bethany has screwed up six lives, (the real Kim's and Ant's parents, too) has no moral problems with that, and gets off scott free. I hate it when the bad guys (gal) wins! On the positive side, Ant/Kim wins by retaining his/her integrity, but it sure doesn't bring him any happiness. My only comment is that it seemed as if Ant was way too quick to assume Cinders betrayed him. As to unfamilier slang, that's why we are taught to look at terms in context. |
