(Also, I suspect the name thing is not so much that transformed men universally keep their masculine names as much as the narrator here still thought of his "sister" as "Jeremy", rather than a direct statement that she still went by Jeremy in her day-to-day life.) |

| I really enjoyed this story, nice to read a happy, relatively pleasant tale every once in a while. Only thing I noticed is that this story doesn't really have an 'end', per se, it just kind of sputters to a stop...my guess is the author kinda 'ran out of gas', and out of things to say...Just an observation, it is a minor distraction from an otherwise fine, well written story! - Paula |
| Gentle Introduction Details |
| The population of I-5 grows again as Sunrise and his shop get new people to work there and create some new friendships as well. We are able to see our favorite group of Intergalactic drivers get to work together again, while bringing some new drivers into the fold. Malissa has spun us readers a new chapter with some old friends, new people for us readers to meet, and is able to show us a glimpse into how well Timelk and his family are adapting to being free citizens of this universe. Kudos! |

| First of all let me say that inspite of its flaws... I found the story and enjoyable read. I have to admit to be pretty educated in the world of physics and reading your your EMR made reading like wading through gumbo mud... the kind that pulls your boots off. It was a struggle to say... maybe it could happen, but my mind kept throwing doubts up. In the beginning of the story when the main characters met Al, they mention thank god for some pain killer because it help them get through their periods. Now I'm no expert on SRS in the 22nd century, but if you bleed you have a uterus I'm pretty sure. Then later on in the story she didn't have the equipment to make babies. Now my main criticism.. There were many sentences where I had to add words in or take words out to make sentences make any sense. It was like you went back and started a sentence again but didn't quite merge the new with the old. However posted this story didn't do a very good job of fixing your mistakes. You need to read your story more carefully. And finally a minor beef. If you cut out the very minor background idea that carla was carl... this story could be a pure lesbian story posted on nifty. It has almost zero TG in it and somehow I feel robbed as in the back of my mind I kept waiting for it to come to the fore. I recommend hacking out the tgness of the character and rewrite to fix your glaring errors in physics or come up with an explanation why the laws that should govern the whole galaxy not just earth would suddenly be flipflopped. And post it on a gay site where it will be better received. You might also have someone come up with an explanation why so many people died and why animals out in the open died practically where they stood. In a post appocolyptic world... the one thing experts fear more than anything else is hordes of ferral dogs that we used to keep as pets roaming the world... cities and towns in particular surviving in the only way they can... by pack hunting killing and eating... anything they can find.
