This is one of the best stories to come along in a while. The descriptions were very vivid, yet you didn't fall for the common mistake of bogging down in descriptions, the pacing was excellent. Although I am not against you continuing the story, this story really doesn't need it. You ended it at just the right spot, the conflict is resolved, yet your character will continue on, leaving that part in the reader's imagination.
