| I like the story, and the detail you give to your characters. I think there were a few hiccups in the story flow that kind of threw me, the biggest being the ending. I think you had some ideas there, and might have been rushed. The whole story from the Father getting the drink on seems a little off as no matter what ammount of money, no minor should be served alcohol. Also, I am was confused with the tone he uses with the boys, and finally I think the ending was a little extreame. Him throwing out something he knew was not his, and then the whole final scene. A little over the edge there, especially when he accepted everything before that. Great story, just needs to be edited a bit, to make it even better. Congradulations on your First Story! |

| Dear Aleisha: Alot of what ceryann wrote I agree with. Where I part company with her is on the character developement. As i previously stated when the story line centers around love and compasion you have got me. This story goes a little farther down that road then Clarisse did. This shows your evolving writing style and character developement. I previously stated that i would like to see you finish your previous stories. I can wait as your style grows. | Really nice story! The plot was quite imaginative -- whereas so many stories in Fictionmania have repetitious, "been there, read that" story lines. Good job all around! Just one little, itty-bit hitch in the story line: dear old Aunt Meghan was at least an accessory to murder, if not guilty of murder, period (she helped planned the killing of Shannon). No state in the Union (that I know of) has a statute of limitations on murder...and probably not for "accessories before the fact," either. Meghan's confession should have landed her behind bars, I'm thinking. But that's a minor wrinkle in an otherwise fine story! Keep it up. -- Darcy (Los Angeles) |
