I like your story alot. I thought you had a problem too with Neil seeing the teacher at the store, but I went back and re read the story and saw that Neil never saw the teachers face at the store. So he didnt know that was him. But I agree that Neil has turnned evil is kinda messed up. But he hasnt been really nice anyway. So I can see it. I like where the story is heading, but how long will poor charlie last before his mom somehow finds out. Love the work.Genny :) |
Hot For Teacher: Chapter 7 Details |
While some of the comments are deserved, I felt the reviewers were overly harsh in their criticism. Vis-a-vis the airport searches: The policy now is that "random" passengers are selected for searches--I know personally that there were at least two such searches on my last flight from Oakland to Albuquerque on Dec. 22nd. One person, who sat next to me on the flight, actually had to have the aircraft door re-opened to make the flight. How far they can go with a search is another question, and would probably depend on what or who they thought they had found. For those who think our goverment can do no wrong, I recommend a perusal of the Ruby Ridge documents referenced on Ellen Hayes site. Don't misunderstand me, I am an American and choose to live here, but that doesn't mean that everything that happens will withstand the scrutiny of justice--consider the DEA's act on several occasions, among others... Some people become fanatics in their pursuit of "criminals" and "traitors", etc. A belief does not equate with fact.As for the parents, I probably wouldn't have let something like that happen with my kids, but it's hard to tell under the circumstances. It's possible they were reassured by the air crew that all was well and to board, and by the time they realized that all was not well it may have been too late to take action.People often take their fears and hates out on innocent bystanders, and while I think the rationale could have been more fully developed, the murders were not without some basis. Consider the Texas mother who had her daughter's cheerleader friend killed so the daughter would be the "best" cheerleader. A lot of the behavior toward Wendy was similar to some of Samantha Michelle's writing so such depictions exist in the TS/TG literature. In fact, some of what happened to Wendy reminded me of Kim Em's story, "Expo Summer."I agree the story was pretty intense, yet I thought it had definite possibilities and could be polished without into a tale which pushed fewer reader buttons. Overall, I liked the story even where events pushed the envelope of believability. Perhaps it was because so much happened to Wendy that it was difficult to swallow.Keep on writing, John!Teddi Sue |
