| Hey there. I stumbled onto fictionmania a few years back, and after a couple of days searching for random stories of various themes, I happened upon Amy Komori. I read the first dozen stories or so, if I remember right--there were quite a few. Never had the time to read all of your posted stories, but what I did read stuck with me. There`s a line Amy said during high school that hit me hard. Just one line, and it terrified me in a way. I had grown more disconnected to your characters as the stories progressed, which at first I thought was dissappointing...but after that dialogue, I had a sudden burst of insight that cast your writing in an entirely different light. I won`t say more about that, though, because the story is yet to be reposted. Anyway, I wanted to say that above all else Amy Komori inspired me as a writer in general. The other week I came here with the intention of reading all your stories, after some idle reminiscing, and was dismayed to find that it was as if you`d never existed on FM. There was nothin'. I looked around the net for other outlets that might have hosted your stories...and suddenly, I find out you're revising them all to be isted again. Heck of a coincidence, eh? Anyway, keep it up. |
