| Very clever and immersive story, and as others have said, a nice twist on the RPG character idea! I especially liked the little touches that showed how Edward found himself becoming a little lost in Surrethia to the point where their two POVs became more than a little blurred without competing with each other. It was also refreshing to see how you kept the pressure on the characters to maintain the dramatic tension. As Grover mentioned in his review, I also thought it was effective to keep the reasons for the phenomenon mysterious, as it kept the tension going. However I did have a bit of fridge horror afterwards when I realized that if the phenomenon continued (or even if it stopped and people were reasonably worried it might recur), one side effect might be that parents would likely try to squelch their children's imaginations to avoid them disappearing into games of "Pretend." Or worse, would actively encourage them to only play imaginary games that ended in them getting killed! I realize that's probably further afield than you were intending, but it was testimony to the depth of the world you created that there was lots of room for that kind of "what if" thinking. And I've been stalled on my own story along the lines of, "what if the worlds of our imaginations were real," and now you've got me thinking about that, too! :) Thanks for the story! |

| Keep the installments coming. I think you story has been fun to read so far. With the transformation going in stages, it'd also be cool if you embedded pictures that chronicled John's increasingly strange appearance. Maybe someone else might be able to lean a hand here if you're not into graphics manipulation. ?? any volunteers ?? |

| I really loved this story. It is one of my favorite Morpheus stories, along with hair and now and the role exchanger. It was cute, but *spoiler alert* when they get stuck at the end, it was kind of a letdown for me. |
