| I don't know where Janet pulls her stories from but each is very good and this is no exception. The writing is to a point that you can almost feel the emotion of what the person is going through. The bad feelings of the past rekindled by the visit to the family house and the pain endured there. The good memories of school and the part time job. My feelings must be out of kilter but I cried at her graduation gift. The fatherly love displayed. Nicely done,Janet! |

| "Tom nodded and, after dressing in his nightie, fell into bed exhausted and immediately went to sleep." I'm adding what I would write as an additional last paragraph. Tom is a weak-willed person. Erin assumes that because the animal part of his nature gives in to his lust that his human nature is enjoying what's happening. Far from it. In reality a weak willed person placed in a situation like this will allow him or herself to be pushed to the point where only the ultimate protest is open. When Erin woke up the next morning, Tom wasn't in the bed with her. She heard the shower running and assumed he was there. She smiled about what fun things they were going to do today; when he got back from a day of work in lingerie, maybe she'd take him dress shopping for a suit, lady's of course, for Friday. She giggled; Tom, Jr, would really enjoy that! However, after a half hour, she began to get worried and knocked on the door. When she got no answer she opened the door. Tom, naked, was hanging by a belt around his neck from the ceiling fan, his feet a good six inches from the floor. His swollen purple tounge bulging from his mouth and his bulging eyes indicated he was quite dead. His nightgown, torn to pieces was on the floor, and written on the mirror in lipstick was one word, "NO!" This is a real situation - Suicide was a real problem for the Waffen SS during WW II, as camp guards finding themselves arroused by cruel deeds they were too weak willed to resist doing, found their only human option was to kill themselves. |
