| Paul, You just don't seem to *get* it, honey... The fun of an SRU story is the encounter with the Wizard. You *totally* missed the "how did you know my name?" part of any encounter with the wizard. That's part of the fun. Also a little more dialogue between your main character and the Wizard. Again, you are too impatient to get to what you think is the punchline to spend some time explaining what is going on. I'm glad you are continuing to try. I just wish you'd listen to the suggestions which you are soliciting from us. I'm starting to think you really don't care about improving. |

| This story delivers the goods by being titillating, but we're getting a mess of cliches here (though skilfully delivered): coffee-drinking, smoking, green-eyed redhead, wimpy guy to strong, even bitchy woman. I was hoping that the new woman would be strong but less of a bitch, and that the new boy would stand up to his father, two improved people resulting from the body swap, but by the end of the story there are barely hints of that: their new bodies and brains seem to be molding the exchanged selves very much into copies of the ones that used to be inside. Still, a good idea for a story universe (and at the time I'm writing this, there have been a fair number of fine stories set in it). |
