| It's very rare these days when I find a story that I finish, or just skim. Almost everything has be written and rewritten over and over again. It's hard to find an original idea. This story was that and more. Not only was it original, but it was well written and well told. The pacing was excellent. And . . i4 was haunting. This story will stay with me a while. |

| How long can this story be. Very boring, no depth, mish mash of events. Story wanders too much, and is very difficult to follow. Ran one story through an editor and caught many grammer and spelling mistakes. Suggest that story be removed, edits, and replaced. In short YUCK |

| Wow! What a well written story! This one pulled me in from the start and was quite a treat. It reads more like a serious fantasy novel with heavy TG elements, than TG fiction. The plot is interesting, the characters are believable, and the setting is wonderfully real for a "medieval times" fantasy. I was also impressed by Ms. Dewinter's exploration of the protagonist's psychology. Changing gender roles is too often treated as a cheap thrill, or taken for granted. Not so in this story. The protagonist's thoughts and feelings are fully explored in a believable, insightful way. I was a bit put off from beginning this story by the sheer length. But I'm very glad I did. It's easily the BEST TG story I've read this year. And in the running for my favorite ever. If you're looking for a real story, rather than a quick thrill, this is a MUST READ. Bravo Brandy Dewinter! NOTE: This review is my reaction to the whole story, not just the first part. There are NO bad chapters here though, so dig in! |

| I liked the story a lot, but I can't help but feel that Toni got shafted... so to speak. Considering how much she enjoyed the changes I can imagine she wasn't so thrilled. Don't mind me, I just don't like seeing characters left without closure. |
