| If I really wanted to, I could sum up this story in just one word. Wow. But this story deserves more attention than that. At the risk of overpraising, this is easily the best of the "realistic" (non-magical/sci-fi) TG stories I have read. Unlike most other stories of this type, the gender change was done out of love rather than meanness or revenge. Why can't more stories in this genre be like that, I would like to know? I didn't even mind that Dale as a man was the stereotypical main character for stories like this (andrgogynous name, appearance, etc). In this story it actually worked--it was plausible. Normally I would take authors to task for having a male character that was clearly heterosexual and having that character become interested in men, but that didn't quite happen here. Dale was young enough at eighteen not to really know for sure where his attractions lay, and the hormones and living as a girl helped clarify that for him. That happened to me, so it is conceivably could happen to Dale. The author deftly avoided the "instant bimbo" cliche, and I thank him for that. Now to be fair, I have to mention that I DID find one thing wrong with this story. It was too darned good. I will be making my debut here with an Altered Fates story sometime in the next few weeks, and competition like this is truly terrifying. |

| great beginning! Several minor gramatical errors that could easily be found and corrected if you would take the time to read your work aloud to someone, prefferably from hard copy. Be sure to have a BIG RED PEN to mark corrections with so you don't miss any. |
| Lady In The House Part 1 Details |
| Whoa a TG romance! I love romances, and I liked the story. Not my cup of tea theme wise, but a well told story none-the-less. That said a few things that stood out to me. After the father beats the mother and they flee to the hotel... David and Theresa are on the beach making out and there is a bit of exposition explaining that the good Dr had started Theresa on apparently very strong hormones. A comment that 'she' had grown to a 34B since Tuesday was a bit fast in my experience. The main problem though is that after that scene plays itself out... there is some time dilation where it seems a long time has passed then its only a short time since they arrived at the hotel then its a long time then its a short time... The other thing that while statistically is possible I suppose... did almost everyone in the story have to be gay? I mean it almost screams genetic link! *grin* I believe the only people not gay were the good dr and the father (well not counting the 4 guys in the car who were probably gay and in denial) Other than the time dilation and the large proportion of gay people... I believe the story was very well written and the romance while not like a tradition romance novel (which I am addicted to) was well scripted. Danielle. |

| Just one short comment. While the story idea is fine it is very hard for someone to have a ROYAL flush (A-K-Q-J-10) if the other party has all FOUR kings.I think you meant a straight flush which is all that is necessary to beat four of any kind. This immediately distracted me from the story line. |
