| What? Only one review for such a great story? First of all, I know very little about the time period so I have no idea how accurate any of it is; that said, it gave me a real feeling of being there in the middle of the 1800s. Some of the plot was implausible, but that's sort of expected. I liked the use of a framing story which merged into the story being told. It allowed the use of first person narrative while telling a story that required the viewpoints of many to adequately tell. It sometimes got a bit confusing, but I never really felt lost. Overall, it was an interesting device well used. I look forward to reading more from this author. |

| eric captured the best points of this story. it is quite a lot of fun to read with many twists and turns as gender and age differences are explored the genie universe is also an intriguing part of the story I have to star going to antique stores and look under trash containers more often :) i await more... maybe even the finish of the story, raven :) I wouldn't object to the story winding up twice as long as it is now ...323 K more please, kind raven? |
