| I liked this, despite the improbable plot hook, it was a good story, well paced, with interesting descriptions and insight. I'm not sure that I would have used the first person perspective, but that's a personal choice and it worked very well for the story – it makes it personal and immediate in a story lacking in dialogue and many action-oriented events to keep it moving. A more introspective study is an appreciated change of pace. There were no glaring spelling errors. I'm not saying it was perfect because I wasn't reading with an eye for editing, but nothing spelling-wise, or grammatically stood out. I also liked the attention you gave to detail and description. All in all, the biggest complaint I have is with the setup. It looks good going into chapter 2! |

| I sure hope this author breaks up the paragraphs of the next part of this story into more readable "chunks". As I have said before, big, huge paragraphs as are found here are very difficult for the average reader to deal with online. Its very hard on the eyes, and makes it hard to distinguish who is who, especially when there is dialogue between characters. Also, the author needs to pay more attention to how people speak. Too many characters speak unnaturally in this story. Keep goin, tho...its at least a worthwhile story to keep pursuing... |
