| The first words are well written - they grab you and attract your attention, and make you want to read on. But when it gets to that bit where she says, "We trade places, I become Joe, you become Alison." to which he replies, "You mean, we'd be in each-other's bodies?" all credibility goes out the window. Remember, this is billed as a miscellaneous story, not a magical transformation, but even if it had an MT category, it should still be credible. He might have replied something like, "You mean you want to dress up as me and I dress up as you?" and she could have taken it from there. Just imagine if it happened to you. How much convincing would it take to make you believe you could change bodies with someone else? Personally, I think writing a good magical transformation story is probably the most difficult writing task any author could undertake. Unfortunately, many writers think it's an easy way out. I don't think there's enough story here to make a judgement on whether it should be completed. You write well, but your subject matter has not come over as credible in the few words you have used. |
