| I've been gratified by many of the comments thus far, but I have to respond to Jess Arita. I worked hard on that part ... the making it "credible" part. Here are a few lines you must have missed: "He counted his breaths and pushed his limbs against the cords so he could feel the bindings cut into him, causing pain to course up his arms and legs." And a few paragraphs later: "In the meantime, he would be patient and work on the ropes around his wrists." I thought I had covered that element ... was it not clear enough? I struggle between realism and "hit-them-over-the-head-with-it-ism." Any thoughts? Patricia |

| Well I kept my word and read one of your stories, and as I expected, it was beautifully written and most enjoyable. I agree with one of the other reviewers who suggested you have missed your vocation and would have been admirably suited to a life as a romance novelist. Being just a little pedantic, and having a desperate need for closure, I am curious to know who would be the breadwinner in the family henceforth, since the person who now occupies the body of Darrel is untrained in anything but collecting junk, unless perhaps he opens up a thriving antique shop. Apart from that, as I think we both expected I still have trouble accepting the concept of magical transformations, but if all the other stories of this genre are as well written and readable as this one, I just might have to investigate a little further. |

| i enjoyed this story very much. i only wish it was me that it was happening to. i have often dreamed about having my hair permed and being feminized like this; but i know that my wife would not go for it. i am also in the public eye and would probably lose my job if i did. keep writing stories like this.
