A good story, well-written and well told. As someone who has gone through the joys and wonder of pregnancy herself, I thought this aspect of the story was especially well-done. Kept thinking, "Hmmm, if this author isn't a woman, he must have done his homework with a woman who's gone through pregnancy." Its a real nit-pick, but the only thing I'd have done differently if this had been my story is at the end, maybe within the last one or two graphs, have the obligatory "pronoun" change, if nothing else to symbolize the character's acceptance of his/her fate. We did see the change in the character's name to the feminine version, and the final switch from "he" to "she" would have been satisfying to see. Just a thought. This was still a fine story, and I'd love to read more from this author in the future. Cheers, - Paula
