Thanks for your reply. I am operating under certain constraints in the BB universe. For example, Grandmother can't be a real villain except when her villainy isn't portrayed as such. (It's either values dissonance between the reader and the author, or the author is being sneaky: "Just the Two of Us", for example, and Jennifer Allison's "The Last Laugh". I'm not sure whether Elrod has allowed this one.) Another constraint that I mentioned before is that Grandmother doesn't lose. (This is from Elrod's "The New Neighbor".) The most I can have is either values dissonance or Bikini Beach making a serious mistake. And in my original story, I had to keep Grandmother out of the way, because she wouldn't have made the mistake with Peter to begin with, changing him to Ruth. Also, I wanted things fixed up ultimately. That is, I didn't want Jill or Tim permanently dead. So I went for the ResetButton where Grandmother transforms Tracy, preventing the murder, and giving the "All Just a Dream" effective ending. I am still trying to write the sequel. For various reasons, the ResetButton wasn't perfect, and things from before leak through. For example, Ruth reappears.
