Decided to check this out, as it's been a while and I remember the author's name from the past. This story is far too long. "That is to say" (a much too repeated phrase in this story) This story could've been 1/3 to 1/4 the length, and still got the tale across. There was a lot of double, maybe triple-speak in the dialogue, and the narration also double-explained a lot. A ton of repeating phrases, and things said especially by the main character, were just, strange. Twat? Objects also didn't need to specifically named as much as they were, especially the device used to transform the characters. It had a long winded name, and that name was fully used every time it was mentioned. Also, if something happened in the past, that was a fully detailed event in the story, it did not need the whole occurrence repeated by a character in full detail a second time. Example: Narration: Ed and Bob went to Texaco to fill Bob's Chevy Suburban and get Cokes. Ed recounting this event later in the story to Bob: "Remember Bob, when you and I went to Texaco to fill your Chevy Suburban and get Cokes?" Even should the event be mentioned a second time, it doesn't need to be word for word. This assumes your readers can't remember those events. If that is your concern, then being less wordy, would also help. Now on to the good. I only read stories if the reason for the TG makes sense in the context of the story, so you have that. The overall plot was decent, with a large amount of fetish thrown in (which isn't necessarily my thing) but in the end, you get a review. I think you could make really good stories if you tighten them up and have someone give them a once over. The Readist

Complicated plot handled well with Steve's usual excllent physical discriptions especially on costumes as unbelievab;le as most comic book stories - Steve you shgould seent your stuff to MArvel - if they have sense they would sign you up!

What a letter. Poignant and powerful. If you are so inclined, Write more, bring ideas to the table. Talk of many different issues from many angles. Many different letters whenever you feel you need to. Closure is such an important "peace" of the puzzle. All the best and thanks for writing.

I am doing something WRONG! 12/7/98--Just entered a 180 word review, incl. a true recent incident here at library, where a stunning stranger-lady caught some words of me lusting over an earlier Janet story, then she eased us both into an exciting conversation and then a date over shared TG and lifelong-hair interests...To be continued since we clicked.[But upon checking, my review of the Ordeal wasn't here... HELP, Mindy!] Won't repeat it all, but do keep making your tales fuller and longer. Your empathy and your use of loving-discipline (which was my own precious way of being feminized) as administered by these 'enabling mothers and aunts' is just fantastic. I myself work close to this theme often (when I do persist and GET the fantasies onto disk or print). But for now I'll practice making sure my 'reviews' actually do stay registered on the board...Tina.
