| I just reread the part of the story involving Dr Ricci. You wrote: (quote) After their session, Dr. Ricci discussed his true findings with the hopeful Helen. Helen was devastated by the results, but knew she had to do what was best for Doug. The healer of emotions was pleased Helen agreed with his diagnosis of the couple's state of their relationship, and went along with the drastic measure he advocated. (end quote) No wonder Helen thought that the separation would become permanent - she believed that their marriage was over! I think that Dr Ricci is being too goal-directed, and is not being a good therapist. Focusing on Dr Ricci's evaluation may be quibbling, but it helps explain Helen's feelings of hopelessness about her marriage. It is to her credit that she tries to get Doug and Maria back together. And I don't remember any thoughts on her part that would suggest that she had any expectation that Doug will end up choosing her over Maria. |

| Ricki: As usual you have a sence of fun and playfulness in your story. That is always refreshing. All the fundamentals are here and Hallie's attitude is fabulous. Nothing except the disapproval of her spouse would stop her from living as a woman. True counterculture in a new way. I love all the interactions and characters. I just would have liked to see more of his/her wife. Her attitudes and her support are truly amazing. Another excellent story and thank you for sharing. Kristi |

| A good story, however there should be a disclaimer at the beginning or end absolving the author from any liability for anything that happens to people who try to use 'the grip' on themselves or others, including, but not limited to, injury and/or sudden sex or age changes. Gary's a sympathetic character; I think many of us know what it's like to be outcasts, and to be bullied because we're 'different' from the 'in' crowd. Too bad about what happened at the end, but I guess the moral of the story is to be VERY careful messing around with strange discoveries if you're not entirely sure how they work. |
