Wow! What a well written story! This one pulled me in from the start and was quite a treat. It reads more like a serious fantasy novel with heavy TG elements, than TG fiction. The plot is interesting, the characters are believable, and the setting is wonderfully real for a "medieval times" fantasy. I was also impressed by Ms. Dewinter's exploration of the protagonist's psychology. Changing gender roles is too often treated as a cheap thrill, or taken for granted. Not so in this story. The protagonist's thoughts and feelings are fully explored in a believable, insightful way. I was a bit put off from beginning this story by the sheer length. But I'm very glad I did. It's easily the BEST TG story I've read this year. And in the running for my favorite ever. If you're looking for a real story, rather than a quick thrill, this is a MUST READ. Bravo Brandy Dewinter! NOTE: This review is my reaction to the whole story, not just the first part. There are NO bad chapters here though, so dig in!

Hi Jane I don't know how you find time to write your stories. I do feel that before readers criticise your work they should try a few offerings themselves. I have writte a few, which are true stories of myself. This is fairly easy as not much imagination is required. I have tried fiction and find it difficult to think of anything original.
