| Thank you Shalimar. I am 48 and transexual. I so appreciated reading your account. It was like salve to my heart.I have known I who I am since I was 5. I have complicated my life by getting married (24 yrs ago) having a family (4 kids) and becoming a special educator. I have spent most of my life feeling desperation and sick to my stomach over not being able to be me but whenever I get close to taking care of things I tend to run. | I don't wish to be too critical of this story, but I have to share my thoughts with you. The storyline is very good, a tale dealing with tarot cards, gypsies and life. A good start. Where you went wrong is it seems that you rushed to finish this tale. First, what happened to "Granny"; two, it was wagons and horses then it is cars, vans, and motels. I can understand the progression, but I think it should have remained horses/wagons then cars/trailers...forget the motel. Did you do research into the countries (Germany & Russia) before writing the story. Three, the love story between Nadia and Natasha - why didn't you take it one step further, have Nadia be male during the day, female at night - it would have been a fine foil to Natasha being male during the day and female at night.
