Great story so far. Looking forward to the rest !
Adoption Adjustment, Part 1     Details
I really liked this story. Well written. I particularly liked how it just jumped into the action. Part way through I started wondering when Eric would get hit with the virus. Then when he didn't, I wasn't disappointed (to my surprise.) Maybe an idea for part 2? Also, I liked how the characters were not just stereotypes or cardboard cutouts despite using the common theme of turning into woman who is a sensual being.

You use numbers in place of words sometimes like it's a text message, very lazy and off putting. It's also almost purely dialogue a lot of the time with very little scene setting or descriptions.

I loved the story. Like the author, I also have deeply held religious convictions. The story is a repeat of the gospels, set on another world with a tg twist. It moved me to tears, not once, not twice, but many, many times as I saw each element fall into place. The story is not an exact parallel of the gospels, but a rough approximation. Some details are missing and parts of the story are changed. I don't know why very key parts of the story are different, but they are. Perhaps Myria wanted to avoid the charge of blasphamy or perhaps she did not know the original story well enough to relate key elements of Christianity's beliefs accurately. Personally, I wish those elements had been a part of this story as it would have made a beautiful, very powerful story even more powerful and moving for me. Zachar fulfilled many prophesies as did Christ, but the story does not tell which. Zachar and Mary's people also were not like the Jews, a chosen people set aside by their God and hated by outsiders for it. They lacked the strong religious traditions of the Jews. In the Gospels, Christ carefully practiced the Jewish faith up until His breaking with it at the Last Supper. This may be more controversial, but according to the fundamentalists, a key part of the gospels is that Christ also proclaimed Himself the Messiah many times, not just relying on his followers to claim that title for him. Myria also missed the role of the 3rd person of the Trinity, the Holy Ghost. Personally, at the moment of Zachar's death, I would have liked to have seen the drama of our Biblical version, the earthquakes, lightening, thunder, opening of the tombs and the dead walking the earth. It would also have been more meaningful if Zachar's last supper were a religious parallel of the Passover feast instead of Mary's personal whim. There were many other parallels between Zachar's story and the gospels that were missing. The end was also unsatisfying. As a tg story, I wanted more of the story of Mary's fulfillment, but as a gospel parallel even what was given was discordant, as if it were Mary's story, not Zachar's. I realize that our four gospels don't agree on many, many details and this other world gospel could well be that world's variant on the gospel story or just the first of several others transmitted from the face of the diamond monolith recording their 'bible.' This is a powerfully written, wonderful story despite my quibbles. The author is a sensitive, skilled writer and a literate one. I wish other writers here were as skilled and intelligent. Despite my qibbles, I highly recommend this story and hope the author writes many more as intelligent, sensitive, moving and beautiful. Victoria

This is bascially a very good story that unfortunately unfinished. It's too easy to jump into a couple of contrived situations, throw in some sex and call it a story. This story is different. It is obvious it is a long way from being completed, yet for the more mature reader, this story (like the Tuck Series) holds a great deal of promise. After you read it, email the author and let her know she has many eager fans who want to see it concluded.
