I found this to be a very sad story. The introduction focuses the attention to the point where it is hard to miss the duality of the mind, but the story hardly needs this. The sadness, for me, stems from the fact that the mind is so badly split that there seems no hope of healing.

As an English major, I am very ofetn dissapointed with the stories I read here. Wonderfully thought up creations of active minds are sullied far too often by ludicrous fictional devices of convenience or convention. Some of the most well-planned stories are filled with barely intelligable, plastic dialouge. This one is different. Sure, there are more than a few gramatical errors, poorly turned phrases, and simple typos. The point, however, is that, it was well thought out. The conversations flowed nicely and naturally. The author followed the old dictum, "Show, don't tell." The reader was able to see scenes, know the characters, visualize the action, and even hear the voices of some very vivid personnae. I do not mean to be harsh to the other writers here. I love reading these stories, seeing the wonderful products of their imaginations and their creative efforts. You won't find any of my stories here (yet) either. I just think that a number of the other writers could take a tip or two from an author of a higher caliber. Don't get me wrong either, the wedding was a little contrived and there should be some serious content and line editing done at some point. What is most important is that this is an incredible improvement over "Presto Chango," the story that is referenced by Brian and Rhea's apperence here. It shows the growth of a promising writer. Again, this isn't to say that the author is not already experienced and accomplished. This is a great story in my opinion though. All artists should concentrate on growth and further mastery of their skills. In sum, I hope stories like this one will set a new standard for what we all see here. FictionMania is a great site. Let's face it, we've all read other transformation fiction sites. We all know that what's here is the cream of the proverbial crop. I just hope that all of the writers will strive for improevement. If they each show one half of the growth that this story demonstrates, I'll need to find a cheaper internet connection and a faster modem to be here even more often.

Hi, Dani! First, you couldn't have picked no better author's universe to work from than Julie's! Your first chapter is very good and I'm anxiously awaiting further chapters. What a way to arrive in central Florida and his (now her) first day at a new school!

The devil is in the details, and this story has them. Carol must be congradulated for all the 60's lifestyle details brought into this story. She even included a few popular myths of the time. The pace of the story and all the little problems the Stone family find themselves in to keep interrupting a chance to return things to normal are prefectly wrtten into a brilliant story. A very good read.
